So I know that I have been away awhile. I have a lot going on. I moved away from Atlanta and selling a house. Anyone that knows me knows that I moved around quite a bit when I was younger. Moving is hard. I have a lot of stuff and it sucks. But I managed to get everything moved. I relocated to Charlotte and I am looking forward to exploring the city. Luckily, I have a friend that already lives here that is willing to be dragged along as I go exploring.

So far I am loving Charlotte. There is a lot of green space and parks. I haven’t had the chance to be out and about in a while. I am looking forward to ticking some sights off my list and getting familiarized with my new city. The first thing that I wanted to do was drag Leah to a bike trail. I have given Leah the opportunity to drag me wherever she wants. And we decided to head over to Little Sugar Creek Parkway. Maybe it was just me… But I didn’t fully understand what greenway meant. Mostly because there wasn’t one where I lived in Georgia. But for those of you that don’t know… Greenways are vegetated, linear, and multi-purpose. They incorporate a footpath and/or bikeway within a linear park. In urban design, they are a component of planning for bicycle commuting and walkability.

So leave it to me to pull out the camera (GoPro). I have not had a chance to use it in the past few years because I wasn’t leaving the house. But this seemed like as good of a time as any. I have tried to edit it down… but I mean… I am loving it as is. It is nice scenery. I have cut it down from the hour that it was but I think that you guys will get the picture. 7 miles later. I did beg that Leah take me as far as we could go. It is actually longer than that… I hope I can rope her or my sister into riding more of the greenway maybe in the opposite direction. We will see. Leah may have to be sure bored.
I had a great time riding and no less riding with my friend. The GoPro footage really impressed me. I am will be posting more footage of my adventures around CLT. If you have any suggestions, let me know where you want to see me run around.
